AMAC - UAE supplies 45.6% of Japan's oil imports in December 2024

According to data released by the Natural Resources and Energy Agency under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, the country's oil imports from the United Arab Emirates reached 35.97 million barrels in December 2024.

According to Amac News: This figure accounts for 45.6% of Japan's total imports.
In the same month, Japan imported about 78.85 million barrels of oil, of which 96.3%, equivalent to 75.94 million barrels, came from four Arab countries plus the UAE: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman.
In recent years, Japan's dependence on crude oil imported from Arab countries, especially the UAE, has increased.
This trend has not only helped strengthen trade cooperation between Japan and Arab countries, but also reflects the strategic importance of energy resources in the global market.
