UAE's non-oil foreign trade reaches AED3 trillion in 2024

Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, announced that the country's non-oil foreign trade has continued its upward trajectory, reaching 3 trillion dirhams in 2024, a record annual increase of 14.6% compared to 2023.


According to Amac News: Al Zeyoudi said in a statement to the UAE state news agency WAM: "In 2024, our non-oil foreign trade reached a historic figure of 2.997 trillion dirhams, an increase of 14.6% compared to 2023."
He added that among all the positive indicators, the most encouraging is the increase in the share of the UAE's non-oil exports.
Last year, the UAE's non-oil exports increased by 27.6% to a record 561.2 billion dirhams, accounting for almost 70% of the country's 800 billion dirhams target, according to Al Zayoudi.
He said exports now account for 18.7% of total trade in the UAE, up from 16.8% in 2023 and 14.1% in 2019.
The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade also stated that expanding foreign trade is a key pillar of the UAE's national economic strategy.
