Balaš Orbán, political director of the Hungarian Prime Minister, said that the UAE is one of Hungary’s most important economic partners in the Arab world, and the country’s total investment in the UAE in 2024 reached about 35.8 million euros.

Amac News, On the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2025 (WGS), which began Tuesday, February 11, in Dubai, he pointed to the continuous growth in various areas of bilateral cooperation, noting that the UAE ranks 34th in Hungarian investments.
Orbán said that the stock of UAE investment in Hungary in 2022 was about 292.6 million euros, adding that by the end of that year, 94 Emirati companies were operating in Hungary and had employed more than 1,382 people.
He added that this demonstrates the strength of bilateral economic relations and the expansion of Emirati investments in Hungary.
Orbán stressed that the leaderships of both countries share a common view on international issues, especially regarding the changing world order. He said that Hungary and the UAE see these developments as opportunities to achieve prosperity, which depends on their commitment to policies that support global peace and cooperation.
The Hungarian Prime Minister’s Political Director also noted the continued expansion of trade relations, foreign direct investment and tourism, as well as strategic cooperation in key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, communications and defense, and stressed that the coming period will see the implementation of agreements in these areas.
