India and US to double bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030

India and the United States have set a trade target of $500 billion by 2030 and launched strategic technology initiatives to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries.


According to Amac News, This was announced by Vikram Misri, Secretary General of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, on Friday, February 14.
According to NDTV, Misri said that US President Donald Trump, along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, jointly launched the "US-India Pact for the 21st Century" to create opportunities in military cooperation, accelerated trade and technology.
Misri also added that the two leaders unveiled plans to finalize a new 10-year framework for the "US-India Major Defense Partnership" to run from 2025 to 2035.
They also agreed to continue ongoing defense procurement negotiations for multiple platforms, including ground and air systems and joint production agreements.
