According to
Amac News, the platforms include three new variants of NIMR’s AJBAN MK2, MILREM’s HAVOC 8x8 as a robotic combat vehicle (RCV), and AL JASOOR’s RABDAN 8x8 as an upgraded recovery vehicle.
Khalid Al-Zayabi, Head of Platforms and Systems at EDGE, said that by investing in innovation and scalable technologies, he aims to establish EDGE as a leader in next-generation ground systems.
Al-Zayabi added that he will ensure that EDGE’s solutions remain at the forefront of modern warfare and meet the evolving needs of global defense forces.
NIMR has introduced three new types of multi-purpose armored vehicles in the AJBAN series, each designed for a specific mission. The new AJBANs are part of a growing family of vehicles that share a common platform and subsystems, providing users with a wide range of options.
With an expanded crew capacity, the AJBAN MK2 452A can accommodate up to eleven people and is ideal as an armored personnel carrier (APC), surveillance vehicle, ambulance or homeland security.
The AJBAN 432AU is a lightweight, explosion-proof logistics and utility vehicle with a crew capacity of three and is specifically designed to accommodate a mortar system.
The AJBAN 441AE, built on the NIMR fixed chassis, is a five-man platform designed for logistics operations and mortar transport. Built for operational support, it features a longer wheelbase and a modular interior layout that allows for easy adaptation to cargo, shelters and mortar transport configurations. In addition, both the AJBAN 432AU and 441AE can carry a shelter, adding to their versatility.
In addition, the new AJBANs are part of an expanding family of vehicles that all share a common platform and subsystems. This approach increases scalability and provides multiple options for users.
MILREM ROBOTICS, a global leader in the development of robotic and autonomous systems in which EDGE holds a majority stake, has introduced the HAVOC 8x8, a robotic combat vehicle (RCV), a major advancement in unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technology.
Designed for rapid mobility and long-range force projection, the vehicle aims to improve battlefield agility and integrates large-caliber weapons for greater lethality.
HAVOC is powered by a hybrid-electric propulsion system and operates in near-silence to enhance stealth and adaptability.
Weighing significantly less than manned 8x8 vehicles, it offers excellent off-road performance, instant torque delivery and rotational maneuverability for optimal mobility in difficult and urban terrain.
AL JASOOR, a joint venture between EDGE and Otokar, has introduced the updated RABDAN recovery vehicle, a high-performance 8x8 armored vehicle designed for rapid operations on the battlefield. Powered by a 720 horsepower engine, the vehicle offers exceptional mobility and high ballistic and mine protection to ensure crew safety during recovery missions. Equipped with a hydraulic winch, dozer blade and lifting crane, it can precisely lift and transport turret systems, power packs and protection kits.
