KATIM, a subsidiary of UAE’s EDGE, active in development of innovative and ultra-secure communication and data protection solutions, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Nokia, a global leader in B2B technology innovation, to develop and deliver secure communication networks for defense applications in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Amac News, the MoU was signed by Didier Pagneau, CEO of KATIM, and Mohammed Samir, Vice President of Mobile Networks Middle East at Nokia, during the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) held in Abu Dhabi.
Through this MoU, KATIM and Nokia will work together to develop and deliver secure telecommunications networks (such as 5G military applications and 5G in a box). The collaboration leverages the strengths of both companies to incorporate and ensure innovation.
“This collaboration combines KATIM’s expertise in ultra-secure communications with Nokia’s technology leadership to create solutions that directly address the evolving security needs of the tactical networking sector,” said Didier Pagneau.
“Working with KATIM will allow us to leverage our shared strengths and deliver secure global networks that enhance national security and operational effectiveness,” added Mohamed Samir.
