Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a subsidiary of the UAE’s EDGE Group, has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Intermarine, a leading designer and builder of minehunter and surveillance vessels, patrol vessels and fast boats, to explore opportunities for collaboration in this area.

Amac News, the agreement was signed by David Massey, CEO of ADSB, and Liviu Corgi, CEO of Intermarine, on the sidelines of IDEX 2025.
The agreement aims to strengthen the expertise of both entities in the design and construction of military and commercial vessels and enhance their technical capabilities to create new business opportunities in the UAE and key international markets.
Speaking at the event, Massey said that the collaboration reflects the shared aspiration of both companies to drive innovation in shipbuilding and provide advanced maritime solutions tailored to evolving operational needs.
“By combining our strengths and leveraging synergies, we aim to create added value and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions. This partnership also demonstrates our commitment and intent to strengthen our position in the UAE,” said Korgi.
The agreement is in line with ADSB’s overall strategy, which focuses on developing advanced ships and marine systems tailored to the evolving needs of the market.
