According to Amac News, the infrastructure was announced on Monday, February 24, at a gala event attended by more than 500 regional and global participants in Abu Dhabi.
“With the launch of ADX Group, we are not just building a financial market; we are shaping the future of investment in Abu Dhabi and contributing to the long-term economic development of the UAE and the region,” said Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of ADX Group.
ADX said it aims to create more investment opportunities and deepen market liquidity with new post-trade capabilities and services, an advanced trading system, and new clearing and settlement platforms.
These developments allow ADX Group to introduce a wider range of products and services to meet the evolving needs of investors and businesses in the UAE and the Middle East region.
At the heart of this transformation is a strategic technology partnership with Nasdaq – a stock exchange in the United States – to deliver a Core Platform (CPU) upgrade that introduces advanced capabilities across trading, settlement and post-trade services.
Key features of the upgrade include modernising the trading infrastructure and integrating multiple asset classes (stocks, ETFs, debt instruments and derivatives) into one high-performance platform.
As part of the Group’s digital and technology improvements, ISO 20022 messaging protocols were introduced to improve transaction processing, increase data transparency and support seamless integration with international financial institutions.
ADX Group has also launched a robust client management system, a new corporate website and a mobile app to provide investors with direct access to real-time market data, advanced analytics and more services for portfolio management. ADX Group’s new post-trade division, consisting of AD Clear and AD CSD, supports the smooth functioning of the securities market by providing essential services such as clearing, depository and risk management to local and international investors. These services will help increase market efficiency and facilitate capital flows for greater economic growth.
