According to Amac News; Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, said today (Monday, April 22) on the occasion of World Earth Day that climate change, air pollution and biodiversity threaten the earth and called for the protection of the earth against climate change and other events.
Guterres continued: "On Earth Day, we must support our planet; A planet threatened by climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. So we must unite."
However, Afghanistan is among the 10 countries most vulnerable to climate change and natural events, and the United Nations organizations have always warned of the adverse effects of climate change on the lives of the Afghan people and have called for the help of the international community to deal with its effects in the country.
Meanwhile, in the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, which was held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12 last year, world leaders, environmental activists, researchers, owners of large and multinational companies, and representatives of nearly 200 countries were present. and in this meeting they emphasized the protection of climate change.
