Afghanistan's fresh fruit exports reach 296,000 tons

Officials in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the acting government of Afghanistan announced that during the eleven months of the year 1403 AH, fresh fruit exports from Afghanistan have taken place to various countries, including Pakistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, China, England, the Netherlands, the United States, France, Australia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Canada.


According to Amac News, Abdul Salam Akhundzada Jawad, spokesman for the Taliban Ministry of Industry and Commerce, wrote on the X today (Sunday, March 2) that the total weight of these fruits is approximately 296,000 tons and the total value of exports is about 143 million and 110 thousand dollars.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan added that these fruits include apples, pomegranates, grapes, fresh figs, apricots, cherries, mulberries, melons, blackberries, watermelons, and other types of fruits.
He said that these exports have not only helped strengthen the Afghan economy but have also played an important role in introducing the country's agricultural products to international markets.
