62.7% of multinational companies attracted by Dubai Chambers in 2024 are Asian

The Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has announced that 62.7% of the multinational companies (MNCs) attracted to Dubai in 2024 will originate from Asia.


According to Amac News, based on the announcement, Latin America and Europe each accounted for 11.8% of the total MNCs attracted in 2024. The Middle East and Eurasia region accounted for 9.7%, while the African and Australian continents each accounted for 2% of the total.
Five key sectors accounted for 50% of the MNCs attracted to Dubai by the chamber in 2024, with each having a 10% share. These sectors include construction, trade services and logistics; manufacturing; ICT, including artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain and software; and retail, fashion, travel, hospitality and tourism.
Eight percent of the MNEs attracted in 2024 specialized in the mobility sector, including aerospace, space, autonomous transport and traditional transport.
The other three sectors collectively accounted for 18 percent of the MNEs attracted, each representing 6 percent of the total. These sectors included healthcare and pharmaceuticals; finance, banking and investment banking; and energy, including oil and gas, renewable energy and clean technology.
The Dubai International Chamber of Commerce attracted 51 MNEs to Dubai in 2024, representing a 55 percent year-on-year growth compared to the 33 MNEs attracted in 2023.
