According to Amac News, the organizers say that this year’s exhibition will see significant growth in participation from key regions, including Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
Themed “World Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism through Improved Connectivity”, ATM 2025 will highlight the importance of connectivity in shaping the future of the industry. The event is set to attract over 47,000 attendees and over 2,600 exhibitors from over 161 global destinations.
According to the latest data from the United Nations World Tourism Barometer, an estimated 1.4 billion international tourist arrivals are expected to be recorded globally in 2024, an 11% increase over the previous year.
In addition, total tourism revenue, including passenger traffic, reached a record $1.9 trillion last year.
The report also shows that the Middle East was the best performer compared to 2019, with international tourist arrivals up 32 percent last year from pre-pandemic levels.
The outlook for international tourist arrivals in 2025 is promising, with growth expected to be between 3 and 5 percent.
Daniel Cortes, Exhibition Director for the Middle East and Arabian Travel Market, said: “Asia is the fastest growing region at ATM 2025, with the number of exhibitors expected to increase by 27 percent this year compared to last year.
