Mohammed bin Rashid approved the work plan of the new Al Maktoum passenger terminal

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, approved the strategic plan of Dubai Aviation Engineering projects and the new passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport.


According to Amac News: The new terminal is supposed to be built at a cost of 128 billion dirham. Based on this plan, the airport will be able to handle 260 million passengers per year.
With the implementation of this plan, Al Maktoum International Airport will have the largest capacity in the world. This airport will be five times the size of the current Dubai International Airport and all operations of the Dubai International Airport will be transferred to it in the coming years.
According to this plan, the airport will have 400 aircraft gates and five parallel runways, and an entire city will be built around the airport in southern Dubai to meet the demand for housing for one million people.
The master plan of the future airport will appear as the largest airport in the world with an area of 70 square kilometers. The final capacity of this airport will be more than 260 million passengers and 12 million tons of cargo per year.
