Japan and Brazil protect the Amazon forests

Kyodo News has reported that the Prime Minister of Japan and the President of Brazil protect the Amazon rainforest.


According to Amac News: Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva agreed yesterday during a meeting to protect the Amazon rainforest and fight climate change.
The two high-ranking officials signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on decarburization and environmental issues during their talks in Brasilia.
The Green Partnership Initiative agreement includes financial aid and assistance to rehabilitate degraded agricultural land to prevent deforestation and promote sustainable agriculture.
The Prime Minister of Japan has said that he is ready to work with Brazil, the head of the Group of 20 major economies, to address global issues.
In 2025, Brazil is scheduled to host the 30th meeting of the members of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, known as COP30.
According to Japan's foreign ministry, the leaders agreed to work on decarburization and joint projects using Brazil's biofuel technology and Japan's hybrid engines.
