The UAE and Uzbekistan signed an agreement to develop digital infrastructure

The Ministry of Investment of the United Arab Emirates and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan have announced that they have signed an investment memorandum on the development of digital infrastructure.


According to Amac News: This memorandum was signed by the Minister of Investments of the UAE, Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment, and Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The MoU is to explore joint venture opportunities for new data centers in Uzbekistan that provide cloud and artificial intelligence solutions for private and public entities, according to the UAE state news agency.
The understanding seeks to attract cloud service providers, assess the potential of cloud computing projects, explore the development of Uzbekistan-specific language models, and create a local talent ecosystem for artificial intelligence and computing.
