Maktoum bin Mohammed met with global policy makers and financial industry leaders

Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and Chairman of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), today met with global policy makers and financial industry leaders.


According to Amac News: UAE Minister of Finance at the 2nd Dubai FinTech Summit (DFS) with Adena T Friedman, President and CEO of Nasdaq. Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul, South Korea; Nick Dreckman, CEO of the Julius Baer Group; and Revolut founder and CEO Nick Storonsky met.
Organized by DIFC, the leading global financial center in the MEASA region, the two-day Dubai FinTech Summit opened today.
In this meeting, more than 8,000 decision makers, 300 thought leaders and more than 200 exhibitors will gather to discuss the latest innovations and challenges.
In a meeting with global policymakers, Maktoum bin Mohammed discussed the exchange of expertise in FinTech innovation, urban infrastructure development and new capital markets, wealth management and FinTech opportunities and Dubai's new initiatives.
Al Maktoum discussed ways of cooperation between Dubai and Seoul, especially in the areas of urban infrastructure development, technology and innovation, with Seoul Mayor Oh Si-hoon.
Sheikh Maktoum also met with Nick Dreckman, CEO of Julius Baer Group, a leading global player in the private banking industry, and Nikolai Storonsky, founder and CEO of Revolut, an international neo-banking and financial technology company.
Revolut is a global financial technology and neobank company. The company serves 40 million personal customers and 500,000 business customers in more than 150 countries and regions.
