Etihad Airways and the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) have announced the launch of the Abu Dhabi stop.

According to Amac News: Etihad Airways announced the launch of this stopover in Abu Dhabi after the signing of an agreement between the General Director of Tourism of DCT Abu Dhabi, Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, and the CEO of Etihad, Antonoaldo Neves.
In its announcement, Etihad Airways wrote: Abu Dhabi Stopover, exclusive to Etihad Airways, invites guests flying through Abu Dhabi to turn their complimentary stay at the stopover hotel into the ultimate vacation.
Guests can stay a free night or two at top hotels across the city, the announcement said.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad, said: "We plan to bring more than 100,000 visitors to Abu Dhabi next year through the stopover program."
