Children Protection Organization says that after heavy rains and floods in Afghanistan, at least 40,000 children have lost their homes all over Afghanistan.


According to Amac News: Save the Children Organization has said in a report that after the heavy rains and floods in Afghanistan, many residential houses were destroyed and at least 40,000 children all over Afghanistan lost their homes.
In this report, it is stated that as a result of deadly and destructive floods in Baghlan Province, more than 12,000 residential houses were destroyed and about 80,000 people lost everything in these floods.
Referring to the statistics provided by the Taliban group about the recent floods, this organization said that only 19 children died in a village in Baghlan Province during the recent natural event.
According to the new report of the Child Protection Organization, Arshad Malik, the head of this organization in Afghanistan, said: "Families in Baghlan rely on agriculture for their income, and thousands of acres of agricultural land have turned into swamps due to flash floods. It will take time to rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
This organization has emphasized that the health teams of this organization have set up mobile clinics in Baghlan, consisting of male and female specialists, to treat the injured.
This organization added that the floods in Baghlan and other provinces are a sign of Afghanistan's vulnerability to climate change.
