Trade in EU goods increased

The European Union Statistical Office has published a report that in the first three months of 2024, the import of goods from non-EU countries to the European Union decreased by 2.9 percent compared to the previous quarter, and the export of goods of this Union increased by 0.3 percent.


According to Amac News: According to the Statistics Office of the European Union, this is the second consecutive three-month increase in the level of exports, while imports have decreased for 6 consecutive quarters.
The EU trade balance for trade in goods increased from €31.7 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023 to €51.2 billion in the first quarter of 2024.
According to the report of the European Union Statistics Office, in the first three months of 2024, the surplus in machinery and vehicles was 65.7 billion, chemicals 57.6 billion, food and beverages 15.7 billion, other manufactured goods 4.8 billion and other goods 1.3 billion.
