The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Buenos Aires, Argentina has announced that in collaboration with the Zayed Sustainability Award, it has organized an event to introduce the award and encourage interested organizations to participate in the 2024 edition.
According to Amac News: Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Argentina, spoke about the UAE's contributions to sustainability and the extension of the "Sustainability Year" initiative until 2024.
He said that the United Arab Emirates will host the 28th Conference of Members of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28).
Al Qamzi said the purpose of this award is to support innovative and inspiring global environmental solutions that have a beneficial effect on individuals and society.
He emphasized that the Zayed Sustainability Award was launched by the UAE leadership in 2008 to honor Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his humanitarian efforts.
