Abu Dhabi City Municipality has announced that this department has planted 3000 saplings of the local Qaf tree in different areas in cooperation with Al Shahama Municipal Center, Emirates Environmental Group and Maan Social Partnership Department.

According to Amac News: The Abu Dhabi City Municipality said that this initiative is part of the municipality's efforts to promote environmental development, preserve the climate, increase green space and highlight the importance of caring for agriculture.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality said that this project was completed in three phases. The first stage consisted of planting 1000 gaff trees in al Samhah area, the second stage included planting 1000 gaff trees along the Rozat Al Rif road  Al Shahama bypass, and the third stage included planting 1000 gaff trees on the Al Shahama bypass road.
