The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health (DoH) has signed an agreement with Illumina, a global leader in DNA sequencing and array-based technologies to advance precision medicine and clinical genomics research.
According to Amac News: The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health said that the aim of this partnership is to develop the expertise, infrastructure and skilled workforce necessary for the integration of genomics into clinical practice and translational research at the local and international levels.
The agreement was signed during the BIO 2024 International Convention in the United States, in the presence of Mansoor Ebrahim AlMansoori, the head of the Ministry of Health, and Jacob Tysen, the CEO of Illumina.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Asma Ebrahim AlManaei, Executive Director of the Research and Innovation Center at the Ministry of Health, and Steve Barnard, Illumina's Chief Technology Officer.
