The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health (DoH) has announced that it has signed a collaboration agreement with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a non-profit hospital.

According to Amac News: The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health said that this agreement seeks to advance research in oncology and gene therapy for children.
Both parties seek to strengthen research and development programs in rare diseases, pediatric oncology and gene therapy by leveraging Abu Dhabi's evolving healthcare and life sciences infrastructure and capabilities.
In 2022, the World Health Organization reported that more than 275,000 children and adolescents worldwide were estimated to be diagnosed with cancer.
