Afghanistan sold 20 thousand tons of crude oil

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan has sold 20,000 tons of crude oil extracted from the Amu Darya oil field in Angut region for more than 10 million US dollars through open bidding.


According to Amac News: Shahadabuddin Delawar, Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan, said in a press conference that Afghanistan is a rich country in terms of mineral resources, and the caretaker government is committed to extracting a standard of mines for the economic improvement of the country according to the national interests of the country.
He added that at the same time, 11 oil and gas blocks in Herat province, which has an area of ​​23 thousand square kilometers, are announcing bids, and a large number of national and international companies have expressed interest in investing in these mines and will soon submit their proposals to the ministry. did
He stated that the Katwaz project, which has an area of ​​40,000 square meters and is located in Paktika province and a number of other provinces of the country, is being worked on.
The Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan says in this tender that hundreds of millions of dollars will be invested in these mines, and with the handing over of these mines in the country, work will be provided for hundreds of thousands of people.
Mr. Delawar emphasized that during the last 10 days, this ministry has sold 130,000 tons of crude oil from the Qashgari area of ​​the Amu Sea basin, worth about 72 million US dollars, to domestic companies for processing in the country.
On the other hand, Homayoun Afghan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, said in this meeting that the value of this contract is 10,549,000 US dollars and the extraction process is done by the winning company inside the country.
He emphasized that tenders for the country's mines and the sale of its crude oil are done in a transparent manner, and transparency has been established in all fields, and special attention has been paid to the management of the country's natural resources by the caretaker government.
In this regard, Golzadeh Katwazi, Qaiser Baba Limited Company and the winning company of this contract said that they will make great efforts in extracting 20,000 barrels of crude oil.
Mr. Katwazi added that by extracting this amount of oil from the country, work will be provided for many citizens and this amount of oil will be sold in the Afghan market.
Officials of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in this tender say that the caretaker government of Afghanistan is determined to use the country's natural resources to improve the economy, especially to raise the level of income, create jobs, solve problems and improve people's living standards.
