In its latest report, the World Health Organization said that 24 mothers and 167 children die in Afghanistan every day.

According to Amac News: The World Health Organization has written in a report that mothers and children in Afghanistan die due to preventable diseases related to pregnancy and childbirth.
This organization has said that 24 mothers and 167 children die in Afghanistan every day, and if the international community does not allocate more funds for humanitarian aid, this number will increase throughout Afghanistan.
The report of this organization states that the existing restrictions by the authorities of the Islamic Emirate have prevented thousands of women from accessing health services, education and work.
According to this report, 17.9 million people need health assistance and nearly 9.5 million people in Afghanistan have limited or no access to health facilities.
The World Health Organization has warned that the need for health assistance in Afghanistan will increase to 23.7 million people in 2024.
This institution also pointed to the livelihood situation of the people and said that 80% of the people of Afghanistan live with an income of less than one dollar a day.
According to the World Health Organization, economic instability in this country has caused the number of health workers to be very low in proportion to the number of patients.
According to the report of this organization, currently, there are only 10 health workers for every 10,000 people in Afghanistan, while this figure should be 44 health workers.
The report of this organization states: "This long-term humanitarian crisis has come under the influence of current geopolitical considerations, which has led to a decrease in support from international partners."
According to the World Health Organization, due to a severe lack of funds, a total of 428 fixed and mobile health centers were forced to close between January and December 2023, which had a devastating effect on the access to health care for more than three million people, including more than 600,000 children under The age of five years and more than 240 thousand women have become pregnant.
However, the World Health Organization has said that for the years 2024 and 2025, it needs 352 million dollars of the total budget of this organization, which is 423 million dollars.
