The General Directorate of Passports of Saudi Arabia announced that about 1.55 million pilgrims have entered the country for the Hajj season of 1445 AH.
According to Amac News: This department has said that this figure includes all the pilgrims who entered the country by air, land and sea ports until the end of Monday, 4 Dhul-Hijjah 1445 AH.
The General Directorate of Saudi Passports further added that 1 million 483 thousand 312 pilgrims entered the country by air, 59 thousand 273 pilgrims entered the country through land ports, and 4710 pilgrims entered the country through sea ports.
The department emphasized its commitment to facilitate the entry process for all pilgrims and added that they have employed the latest technologies at international ports along with a team of multilingual translators.
The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Waqa) has also announced that it has inspected about 400,000 livestock before entering Mecca to perform the sacrifice ceremony.
