Afghanistan's Ministry of Industry and Trade said in a news release that Nouruddin Azizi, the head of the ministry, met and discussed with the representatives of "Vira Gas Sepehr Sokht" company in Iran.

According to Amac News: Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan has discussed with the representatives of this company about the establishment of a standard oil refinery in the country.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade stated in the newsletter that in this meeting, representatives of the Iranian company, in addition to presenting the plan to create a standard oil refinery according to the crude oil extracted in Afghanistan, also provided information about the quantity, quality and nature of the products obtained.
According to the newsletter, the Economic Commission has tasked the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the State Oil and Gas Company, and the National Standard Administration to create a standard oil refinery that has the capacity to refine other petroleum products.
