The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates announced that Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, Faisal Mekdad.

According to Amac News: The ministry said that Bin Zayed and Mekdad discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and Syria and securing the interests of the two countries.
The UAE foreign minister emphasized the long-standing relations between the UAE and Syria and their mutual commitment to strengthen cooperation for the benefit of their people.
The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments, especially in the Middle East, and emphasized the importance of Arab collective efforts in promoting sustainable stability and fulfilling the development aspirations of the people of the region.
