The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi has announced that the Ministry has signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Tourism and Antiquities of Fujairah.
According to Amac News: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi said that they signed this agreement to facilitate knowledge sharing and attract more visitors to their museums, strengthen tourism and economic growth in both emirates.
The agreement was signed by Saud Abdul Aziz Al Hasani, Deputy Secretary General of DCT Abu Dhabi and Saeed Al Samahi, Director General of Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Department.
According to this agreement, the entities are allowed to exchange knowledge and expertise, develop joint educational programs and interact with and global tourists through joint marketing and promotional activities.
This partnership underlines the shared commitment to promote the cultural heritage of Abu Dhabi and Fujairah through the exchange of artefacts and works of art, which will attract more visitors and deepen public understanding of their respective histories.
The Saadiyat Cultural District is home to the renowned Louvre Abu Dhabi and a growing community of institutions and attractions that will soon welcome the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum, the Abu Dhabi Phenomenon Lab team and the Abu Dhabi Museum of Natural History.
The UAE recently launched its Tourism Strategy 2030, which sees the sector adding AED 90 billion to the UAE's GDP by 2030 and attracting 39.3 million visitors to Abu Dhabi annually.
