The Abu Dhabi Statistics Center (SCAD) has announced by publishing a report that in 2023, the number of passengers will pass through Abu Dhabi airports by 22.4 million people.
According to Amac News: The center said that the number of annual passengers through UAE airports has reached more than 11.1 million people, while the number of departures was 11.3 million people.
According to this report, the Indian subcontinent is at the top of the list of arrivals through Emirates airports with about 3.2 million passengers by the end of 2023.
Western Europe with 1.9 million people, Asia with 1.7 million people, Gulf Cooperation Council countries with about 1.6 million people and East Asia with 822,777 travelers are next.
At Al Ain International Airport, the number of passengers reached 51,067 in 2023, while the number of outbound passengers was 43,945, of which 1,763 went through the airport and 1,011 through Zayed International Airport.
In terms of freight traffic in the emirate, last year 319 thousand 993 tons of goods were imported, which was more than Asia with 138 thousand 187 tons and exports reached 238 thousand 644 tons, while Al Ain International Airport exported 1263 tons of goods and It has imported 501 tons in 2023.
