The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) emphasized the strengthening of trade relations with Pakistan during the Sharjah-Pakistan Business Forum organized by the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office (Invest in Sharjah).
SCCI focuses on strengthening economic ties with Pakistan
According to Amac News: Based on the chamber statement, this forum was held in collaboration with the newly established Pakistan Business Council operating under the chamber's umbrella, bringing together over 200 investors and entrepreneurs from various economic sectors from both sides.
Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, stated that this forum is expected to create new opportunities for collaboration between businesses and investors in Sharjah and Pakistan.
He added that the forum represents an important step in strengthening economic and trade relations between the UAE and Pakistan, providing a platform to explore investment opportunities in both countries and forge strategic partnerships.
Al Shamsi also referred to the significant growth in bilateral economic relations, noting that the non-oil trade volume between the UAE and Pakistan reached AED 25.7 billion in 2022, marking a 30 percent increase compared to 2021.
