The World Food Program (WFP) said in a statement that more than 12 million people in Afghanistan need urgent food aid.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says that more than half of the people of Afghanistan (23.7 million people) are facing a poor humanitarian situation.
