The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced that it has approved around 60,000 (No Objection Certificate) applications in the first half of 2024 as part of the 'Soqoor' program.

The authority approved 59,058 applications for NOC services submitted by 1,951 consultants and contractors from the beginning of this year to the end of June 2024, said Hussain Lootah, executive vice president of power transmission at DEWA.
The electricity transmission department approved 32,072 requests, the electricity distribution department approved 17,955 requests, and the water and civil engineering department approved 9,031 requests.
