The UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade announced that Foreign Trade Minister Thani bin Ahmed Al Zayudi visited Washington, DC to meet with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties.

According to Amac News: AlZayoudi, accompanied by Yousef Al-Otaiba, the UAE Ambassador to the United States, participated in the 10th SelectUSA Investment Summit with an Emirati delegation consisting of government officials and business leaders.
In his meeting with Minister Raimondo, Al-Zyoudi emphasized the importance of economic relations with the United States, which is the third largest trading partner of the United Arab Emirates and accounts for 27% of the non-oil trade of the United States with the Arab world.
In 2023, the two countries shared bilateral trade worth $40 billion, a 20.1 percent increase over the previous year and a 50.2 percent increase over 2019.
At the SelectUSA Investment Summit, hosted by the US Department of Commerce, it brings together government officials and business leaders.
The United Arab Emirates is the largest Arab investor in the United States with assets of more than $38.1 billion, accounting for more than 50 percent of Arab investment in the country by 2022.
UAE investments in the United States have increased by $12 billion over the past five years. in various sectors with a focus on transportation, business services and ICT. Most UAE-owned companies employ more than 24,300 American workers and help boost US exports, contributing $1.4 billion to the value of US exports in 2021.
