The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has met with Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, the general manager of the chamber, and Mario Saenz, the export manager of PROCOMER.

According to Amac News: In the announcement of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, it is stated that in this meeting, the parties discussed ways to increase mutual participation in trade exhibitions hosted by both countries.
Both sides also discussed strengthening communication between business leaders to boost investment, strengthen economic and trade cooperation, and expand exports and joint ventures between the two countries in various critical sectors.
In this meeting, the Sharjah Chamber invited the Costa Rican delegation to participate in the upcoming edition of the UAE Perfume and Oud Exhibition, which is organized by the Sharjah Expo Center with the support of the Chamber and is scheduled to be held in October 2024. This invitation underscores SCCI's commitment to strengthening bilateral trade.
In return, the delegation invited the Sharjah Chamber to visit the Costa Rican booths at the World of Coffee and GITEX exhibitions in Dubai, providing an opportunity to explore the Costa Rican products exhibited at these international events.
Mohammad Al-Awadi emphasized that the prospect of trade cooperation and increasing exports with Costa Rica is diverse. The very successful Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between the two countries.
Bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and Costa Rica has shown promising growth, reaching $65 million in 2023.
The Costa Rican delegation, in turn, showcased the various opportunities available and initiatives undertaken by the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER), particularly in the fields of technology, gaming, artificial intelligence and media.
