The Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that  Juma Mohammed Al Kait, the assistant deputy minister for foreign trade affairs of the ministry, participated in the AESC meeting on behalf of the UAE.

According to Amac News: In the announcement of the Ministry of Economy, it is stated that in this meeting, Al Kait emphasized the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to strengthen the cooperation of Arab countries and lead it towards further economic progress.
The 114th regular meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council (AESC) was held at the General Secretariat of the Arab League.
Juma Mohammed Al Kait also emphasized the country's commitment to strengthen joint efforts among Arab countries to ensure sustainable economic growth throughout the region.
Al Kait noted that the discussed issues help chart a path for more effective Arab cooperation, exploiting the rich resources and potential of the region.
The two-day meeting will focus on key areas, including economic and social issues, to be presented at the upcoming Arab League meeting in 2025 in Baghdad.
In this meeting, there will also be discussions about the Greater Arab Free Trade Area and the developments of the Arab Customs Union, along with the challenges and opportunities in increasing inter-Arab trade and investment. In addition, the committee will consider proposals to strengthen cooperation in sectors such as tourism, archeology and space research, among others.
Al Kait emphasized the importance of these talks in aligning the economic strategies of the member states and turning the Arab countries into influential economic players on the world stage. He called for continued efforts to build these initiatives and emphasized the need for innovative approaches that are aligned with the broader goals of the Arab League.
