Officials of the meeting said that this edition is based on the success of the previous two editions, which created about 120 billion dirhams of local procurement opportunities in priority sectors such as pharmaceuticals, energy, telecommunications, space, healthcare, and food and beverages.
The report states that these opportunities include 1,400 products available for domestic production that have been identified to increase industrial flexibility and self-sufficiency by supporting import substitution.
The forum will hold a series of meetings to review the UAE's industrial strategy, 300 billion operations, the integration of artificial intelligence in the industry and to attract investment in the space sector, and how to apply green technology to decarbonize the industry.
