The United Arab Emirates has announced that it has participated in the G20 Women's Empowerment Working Group (EWWG) ministerial meeting on behalf of its Gender Balance Council.

According to Amac News: The announcement stated that the meeting focused on issues of women's equality and autonomy, the fight against misogyny and violence, and climate justice, and was held in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.
In this meeting, the G20 countries gathered to share their experiences and work to deal with gender inequality and strengthen women's empowerment in various dimensions.
The participation of the UAE in this working group is part of its commitments as a guest country in the meetings of the Group of 20 for the third consecutive year. This country received an invitation to participate in this year's meetings from the current presidency of the Group of 20, the Federal Republic of Brazil.
G20 working group discussions focused on promoting women's equality and independence by addressing the gender-based division of labor and the redistribution of unpaid care work.
In this meeting, the strategies of combating misogyny and violence were examined with special attention to the different experiences of violence faced by women of different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
The United Arab Emirates, representing its Gender Balance Council, has been an active participant in the G20 Women's Empowerment Working Group meetings since August this year.
In addition, the UAE delegation participated in the event "Gender Mainstreaming and Women's Empowerment in the G20", where discussions focused on mainstreaming gender perspectives in all G20 policies and initiatives.
