The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan (OCHA) says that about 23.7 million people, including 12.3 million children, will need humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan in 2024.

Ocha says that 32 people have died and 44 others have been injured due to the heavy rains and the resulting floods across the country.
