As part of its participation in the UAE Innovation Month 2025 held in February, the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) held a joint workshop titled “Accelerating Innovation with AI” in partnership with Microsoft, the world’s largest software maker.

According to Amac News, the workshop was attended by Abdullah Al Bastaki, Chief Information Technology Officer and Managing Director of AI, along with several FTA employees and AI experts from Microsoft.
The initiative is in line with FTA’s strategic plans to strengthen partnerships with leading institutions and IT and AI companies.
These types of collaborations are part of FTA’s alignment with the objectives of the UAE AI Strategy and the FTA’s Digital Strategy, which focuses on expanding the integration of AI technologies.
The FTA said that the use of AI enables the delivery of digital services and introduces innovative models that reflect excellence and leadership in government operations.
The workshop also discussed the role of AI in improving the communication between data systems in an innovation-driven environment and how to improve operational processes, which ensure the quality and efficiency of tax services in line with global best practices.
The workshop also showcased the latest innovative technologies that help improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Among these technologies were productive AI applications and various tools that effectively help increase productivity and strengthen institutional performance.
The workshop sessions featured demonstrations of cloud solutions for modern services and technical capabilities, all of which help enhance existing legacy systems.
All these developments enhance the FTA’s ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the industry while ensuring the sustainability of its services at the highest levels of efficiency.
