The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) to strengthen trade relations and develop economic partnerships between the business communities of the two countries.

According to Amac News, based on the announcement, the MoU emphasizes the importance of strengthening cooperation between private sector companies.
The agreement also includes efforts to introduce investment opportunities, encourage continuous growth in target markets and promote cooperation in specialized trade fairs to promote integrated products and services.
The MoU was signed at a business meeting organized by SCCI in collaboration with DCCI. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, President of SCCI; Taskin Ahmed, President of Dhaka Chamber, and Muhammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of SCCI, were present at the meeting.
The meeting also included key representatives from major companies and private sector entities from Sharjah and the UAE, along with prominent business leaders from Bangladesh.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais stressed Sharjah Chamber’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to Bangladeshi businesses and investors to help them expand their operations.
He stressed the importance of the agreement in establishing lasting strategic partnerships between the Sharjah and Bangladeshi business communities, achieving shared economic goals and promoting sustainable growth in both markets.
He also stressed the importance of cooperation in key strategic sectors such as transportation, exports and logistics, which serve as the backbone of the global economy.
On the other hand, the Bangladeshi delegation expressed the strong interest of Dhaka’s private sector businesses to strengthen cooperation with their Sharjah counterparts in various fields and key industries, including e-commerce, medical services and food production, which play a significant role in sustainable development strategies.
