The fourth annual Skift Global Forum East (SGFE) will be held in Abu Dhabi this year. The event is part of a new partnership between the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Skift, the travel industry’s thought leadership and news platform.

According to Amac News, the partnership, announced at ITB Berlin, reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global events destination.
Last year’s event saw more than 500 participants from 32 countries gather in Dubai to discuss impactful trends, including the rise of experiential travel and changes in technology and artificial intelligence.
Rafat Ali, CEO and founder of Skift, said Abu Dhabi will serve as the perfect hub for the conference, with its dynamic mix of culture, innovation and hospitality.
In addition to the main conference program, SGFE includes initiatives focused on driving transformative change in the industry, including Meet Generation Next, which aims to foster dialogue between established and emerging female leaders. This focus on positive impact aligns with DCT Abu Dhabi’s vision to transform the emirate’s social and economic landscape and support talent development.
