The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has announced the launch of an innovative project called the "Dubai Code for Ports," the first of its kind globally.
PCFC launches pioneering ‘Dubai Code for Ports’ project
According to Amac News: Citing a statement from PCFC, this project is designed to create an integrated framework of technical requirements for the development and management of ports, marinas, and related maritime activities.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of PCFC, stated that the "Dubai Code for Ports" project aims to strengthen Dubai's role in the global supply chain and maritime transport while supporting global maritime trade and bolstering local and international economies.
He emphasized that the project responds to maritime demands in coastal areas and leverages Dubai's facilities to facilitate trade, marine tourism, and other economic activities.
