Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) has announced that it has launched the first phase of the AED 10 billion Dubai Exhibition Center (DEC) development at Expo City Dubai.

According to Amac News: Citing the DWTC's announcement, the preliminary works and piling contracts of this project have been completed and the main works are being done.
According to the Dubai World Trade Center, this Dh10 billion development program will transform the Dubai Exhibition Center into the largest indoor events venue in the region.
The expanded DEC will serve as the new home for major exhibitions, enabling Dubai to increase the number of major exhibitions annually from around 300 currently to over 600 by 2033.
A team of renowned international consultants, including Mace and Egis, are said to have been appointed to manage the first phase of the Dubai Exhibition Center development.
This development, based on more than four decades of sustainable economic value generation, can significantly increase DWTC's share of the multi-billion dollar MICE industry and aims to increase the sector's economic contribution to AED 54 billion per year by 2033. to equal
