The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE announced that Mohammed Saeed Alnuaimi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, emphasized the country's commitment to building an environmentally friendly economy and strategic climate partnerships with countries like Ghana during his speech at the side event "Sustainable Trade Africa 2024" at COP29.

According to Amac News: Citing the UAE Ministry of Climate Change, Alnuaimi stated that the recent $30 million partnership with the Republic of Ghana aims to enhance nature-based climate solutions and community development.
Additionally, Alnuaimi participated in a session on the "Global Methane Pledge," where he highlighted progress made in reducing methane emissions. He underscored the critical role of this pledge in driving global efforts to cut methane emissions across sectors such as energy, food, agriculture, and waste.
In these discussions, Dr. Amina bint Abdullah Al-Dhahak, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE, conveyed a message highlighting that the climate crisis poses a threat to the cultural landscape, noting that culture can be a powerful driver for climate action.
