The UAE General Secretariat of the National Anti-Money Laundering and Combatting Financing of Terrorism and Financing of Illegal Organizations Committee (GS-NAMLCFTC) and the Italian Guardia di Finanza have signed an agreement based on which the two countries will have strategic cooperation in the fight against financial crime threats.

According to Emirati media, Hamad bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), met with Italian diplomats on Saturday, November 16, to discuss strengthening relations between the UAE and Italy.

The United Nations Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan announced in a newsletter that Italy has contributed 3.1 million dollars to Afghanistan.

The Italian industry minister has said that the country will invest around 10 billion euros in the semiconductor industry during 2024.
