Local officials of the acting government of Afghanistan in Nangarhar province, in the east of the country, announced that a delegation headed by Azizullah Mustafa, the deputy governor of the province, had discussed the reopening of the Torkham border crossing with Pakistani representatives.
Officials in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the acting government of Afghanistan have called Pakistan’s closure of the Torkham crossing a violation of international trade laws and said that this has caused traders from both countries to suffer more.
