Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it has started the trial operation of the first electric supercar produced with 3D printing technology in cooperation with the private sector.
According to Amac News: This department said that Abra can carry 20 passengers and was designed and built to preserve the traditional identity of Abra.
RTA said that the aim of this initiative is to reduce the construction time of Abra by 90%, reduce production costs by 30% and reduce operation and maintenance costs by 30%.
The newly produced Abra has technical features such as the longest monocoque structure created with 3D printing technology, measuring 11 meters long and 3.1 meters wide.
Abra will be operational at the Sheikh Zayed Road Marine Transport Station on the TR6 line on a trial basis.
Abra was produced by Al Seer Marine Company in Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Japan's Mitsubishi and Germany's Siemens. TASNEEF monitored the production process to ensure safety standards were met.
The project aims to improve maritime transport services, improve safety and security standards, meet the requirements of the Dubai Global Design Code for the discerning, and improve the overall appearance of traditional Abra stations. More than 14 million passengers use these stations every year.
