He also highlighted the UAE's growing role in bringing together technology innovators, entrepreneurs and industry leaders around the world to drive transformation in key areas of economy and society.
Hamdan added that by establishing strategic partnerships with leading players such as Google, Dubai and the UAE, the aim is to create unique solutions that create new benchmarks in the global technology landscape.
The Crown Prince of Dubai said: "Dubai and the UAE are committed to being at the forefront of global digital transformation and becoming an international center of excellence for future industries. "Dubai has always emerged as a major hub for the world's best with its strong infrastructure and environment conducive to dynamic growth."
He added that future-oriented technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) are key to Dubai's D33 economic plan to create 100 billion dirhams in annual economic value through digital transformation over the next decade.
The meeting also discussed Google's Artificial Intelligence Opportunities Initiative, the largest AI initiative in the MENA region that has just been announced.
The head of Google said, based on its commitment to the region, the company plans to empower half a million people with artificial intelligence skills in the next two years.
Google opened its regional headquarters in Dubai in 2008, from where it manages all of its operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has reported global revenue of more than $307 billion in 2023. The company's revenue has increased by 15% to 88.27 billion dollars in the quarter of July to September 2024.
