According to
Amac News: The event will be held with two starting points in Abu Dhabi (190km) and Dubai (175km), and cyclists will reach the summit of Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain.
More than 1,000 cyclists will take part in the event, according to the announcement.
The starting point for the Abu Dhabi participants will be the main campus of Khalifa University, while the Dubai stage will start from the Al Qadra cycling track and eventually reach the summit of Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain.
The aim of the competition, which is being held in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, is to inspire the community to take up sporting activities.
The Chancellor of Khalifa University said the competition underscores the university's commitment to promoting health and wellness, as well as outdoor activities. The CEO of the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club said the club would continue to promote cycling among university students.
